Ornitho.de / lu is the internet portal for bird watching and population surveys in Germany and Luxembourg. It is run by the Dachverband Deutscher Avifaunisten (DDA) e.V. (Federation of German Avifaunists) and natur&ëmwelt, respectively, supported by and in close cooperation with all national ornithological associations, many regional and local working groups, and federal and state nature conservation authorities. Ornitho.de / lu aim to collate data on bird life, make it available in a verified form for scientific evaluation and use it for nature conservation purposes. In addition, ornitho.de and ornitho.lu aim to bring together people interested in bird life, inspire people to take an interest in avifauna and support environmental education.
